Until now!

I cannot believe PK is gone and effing Therrien is still around. WTF!

I have been a Habs' fan for over 60 years. Had many great years but now mired in mediocrity since 1993.

I have been greatly disturbed about how Therrien, and also MB, have handled PK over the years. He was, undoubtedly, the best player on the team, Price excepted. He is a Norris trophy winner. Always near the top scorer for the Habs, despite being a defenceman. Plays his guts out every game.

Yet MT never had any problem trashing him, sitting him down after a mistake, treating him like shit. I don't know how Subban took it all the time.

There was a point late last season where MT threw him under the bus publicly after he lost an edge and the Habs gave up a late goal (despite the fact it was Max who quit checking on the play). At that point, I had enough of MT and 'sort of' wished that PK would be traded so he could get away from this bullshit and play somewhere else where his talent would be appreciated and used.

This man was forced to sign a bridge contract, whereas the Habs could have signed him to a long term deal at a lot less than they eventually ended up paying him.

This man was sat out of games at the beginning of his short holdout season so he 'could learn how to play the system', while call ups or traded for players somehow got into the lineup right away without 'learning the system' first.

I am pissed off! I have nothing against Shea Weber and I think he will do a decent job for a few years, but the Habs lose big time in this trade over the years to come.

Whether you like analytics or not, they show a decided advantage for Subban over Weber.

I have lived through a number of bad moves by the Canadiens' management (Chelio for a worn out Denis Savard, Rod Langway, John LeClair, Patrick Roy, Scott Gomez), but now this one ranks as the worst trade in history of the club.

I am in limbo as whether I want to continue as a Habs' fan with the management and coach that we have. They are effing incompetent, obviously old school, and need to get their heads out of their asses and recheck their egos.

I understand that some people didn't like PK and think the trade is good, and I support their right to think this 100%. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

This is mine!Ianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11141406139388093224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-85174854981257633322016-07-04T01:06:27.224-11:002016-07-04T01:06:27.224-11:00I eagerly await your thoughts on the PK trade.I eagerly await your thoughts on the PK trade.the Maritimerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03286353553023002518noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-75231491621624267962016-05-14T11:47:04.582-11:002016-05-14T11:47:04.582-11:00BS Marc BS. He was on the 3rd line till Price went down for the 2nd time and a few game after Therrien panicked and put his son back on the first line and the first wave of the PP. The reason we made the playoffs last year wasn't because of DD on the first line but despite him. Price carried this team to the playoffs last year. Criticism is warranted here unlike Babcock who was on a team that was tanking on purpose. They were basically an AHL tean so that argument doesn't fly sorry.Lizardking89https://www.blogger.com/profile/02997784025150034522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-53420950589020402932016-05-14T10:25:06.129-11:002016-05-14T10:25:06.129-11:00you said it well, Coach does not like ityou said it well, Coach does not like itStevehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14162783936999869984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-12502108464395500102016-05-14T09:30:07.828-11:002016-05-14T09:30:07.828-11:00How does Tampa Bay lose their best foward (Stamkos...How does Tampa Bay lose their best foward (Stamkos) their #2 defenseman (Stralman) and now Bishop and are up a game in the Conference Final, meanwhile, Montreal loses One player and the entire team and organization crumbles? I think bringing the Undertaker, MT, back for another season would be the match to the fuse. Look out. Marc, Carey's injury exposed all that was wrong or fragile. And DD on the 1st line is wrong! As for MT, the man is a Neanderthal....totally incompetent. The loss of cohesion, confidence, and precision, is ALL on him....as is the demoralization of certain young players.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13024720904290073318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-5611542083045735112016-03-03T05:48:10.624-11:002016-03-03T05:48:10.624-11:00Hey Marc-we don't mind an opposing view but ho...Hey Marc-we don't mind an opposing view but how could anyone in their right mind like MT ?? I have never liked him and will never like him and JT I must say you handled the reply with the class that we would expect from you, thanks.
With the recent rumours about Eller being moved and maybe Galchenyuk,as much as I would miss them,I thought for their own sanity maybe it would be better if they left.I wasn't thinking straight, the only solution to this problem is to have a coach that likes youth and will not reward veterans ,no matter how poorly they play...We all know the definition of insanity....who proves it more than MT ? Over and over and over expecting different result ....
At first I thought that MB was the just what the Habs needed, but now I am not so sure, loyalty is one thing but telling us the coach is staying regardless what happens is just not right.
That was a great read JT thanks again for the blog...keep it coming,I enjoy it very much..Harryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17928027155931010889noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-13617490278102754852016-03-03T02:20:39.457-11:002016-03-03T02:20:39.457-11:00JT

He marches to the beat of his own drum which in this case must be a broken one as he has missed many beats. He feels bulletproof or so it seems like a Teflon Don and we know how that ended so please, please, please MB fire his ass the day the season ends so we may tell any free agents we realize we have a problem and are now addressing it and it is a good place to come and we really do want to win a cup and not just sell beer.dra58https://www.blogger.com/profile/15985187108320390662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-51642072052958941152016-03-03T01:58:45.007-11:002016-03-03T01:58:45.007-11:00Hey Marc. We need bigger players, get rid of the midgets. So we get bigger players and move Davey to 3rd line, and STILL he's to blame. Last year and the previous one, he was in the first lineup, and we made the playoffs. Yet you complained about him as well. Damned if I do, damned if I don't?

The coach is not my favourite but the minute this guy fails, people like you are down his back. There's a common thread here, are you thinking what I'm thinking?

What about Babcock? What if he was at the helm while the team sank to the abyss? Would you critize him? Are you noticing where HIS team is??? Is the town burning down his house?

Thoughts, PLEASE.Marchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05194679824757100857noreply@blogger.com
