He was fabulous in Montreal and the number 15 has been cursed since he removed it.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01843861851741438528noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-88381048936804551372011-06-08T09:06:42.825-11:002011-06-08T09:06:42.825-11:00When are you going to post something about Horton ...When are you going to post something about Horton and the lastest evidence of NHL random punishments? The defenseman fanned on the puck and away they broke down the ice.

Patrick was outstanding. You could tell he had the confidence and was in the zone.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-73700291077319074792011-06-03T15:42:19.694-11:002011-06-03T15:42:19.694-11:00History changes daily and Habs fans galore will te...History changes daily and Habs fans galore will tell you stories of St Patrick. What is often forgotten is how Serge Savard rebuilt that team after the post Pollock mess. The talent was there, a lot of it young and feeling their oats. Teams win Cups, not individuals, and Mr. Smith was central to those teams.

And yeah, they should have had three cups between 86-89. They won one together in 86, and Doug Gilmour took one away in 89. But the other chances, they lost those themselves but I suspect had a heck of a good time doing so.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-54617210939241946772011-06-02T09:50:34.609-11:002011-06-02T09:50:34.609-11:00I was at a Jets-Habs game one night in Wpg, Bobby ...I was at a Jets-Habs game one night in Wpg, Bobby was facing off against Hawerchuk. Push turned to shove and Bobby high sticked Ducky in the helmet. Big Paul Maclean (asst coach of Redwings now) jumped in and dropped his gloves and started throwing punches. Bobby survived the onslaught and ended the fight with a draw. It was a spirited scrap with both players throwing quality punches.

Bobby had great skills but could also handle the rough stuff when necessary.

@mattmaniacAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-63459665335187140302011-06-02T04:30:07.908-11:002011-06-02T04:30:07.908-11:00Very interesting, thanks!Very interesting, thanks!Marconoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-2074452919361943292011-05-31T00:34:16.806-11:002011-05-31T00:34:16.806-11:00You mentioned Mike McPhee and Bobby Smith but forg...You mentioned Mike McPhee and Bobby Smith but forgot to mention Cape Breton, their home.

-Hab Diehard in Cape BretonAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-91835525451817639162011-05-30T14:26:59.841-11:002011-05-30T14:26:59.841-11:00FANtastic read.FANtastic read.moemanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07714585748102791365noreply@blogger.com
