How many times have they been shut out so far this year? brutal!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-11996112910137682962010-11-28T13:09:35.925-11:002010-11-28T13:09:35.925-11:00I've been wondering if the Canadiens haven'...I've been wondering if the Canadiens haven't become a highly specialized team, carrying a lot of speed backed up with a tight a rewarding defensive system designed to be most effective on the counterattack (proof being that they lose most of the games where they trail on the scoreboard but with the other ones), which make them unbeatable against teams that are a bit like them, but unable to respond to a certain type of team that play a heavy forecheck with a lot of weight to back it up(recent exemple being the Flyers and Trashers). Just a thought...Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05050891915752943958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-19384554162554151872010-11-28T06:37:18.698-11:002010-11-28T06:37:18.698-11:00Agreed, the collection of players Gauthier has (re...Agreed, the collection of players Gauthier has (re)assembled has the makings of a solid team, mostly game in game out. Should it be needed I'd like to see Martin try a Pouliot-Eller-Cammalleri line for a few games. Eller is a natural centre and with two snipers on his wings, both willing to fight for the puck when needed and Eller comfortable all around the offensive zone, it could be a sweet second line. I also think Gomez is mature enough to take a 3rd line responsibility and provide a spark with speed. He just needs to work on the smarts part of his game.moemanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07714585748102791365noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-68094525878351749962010-11-28T06:09:31.426-11:002010-11-28T06:09:31.426-11:00A sane and intuitive assessment of the Habs and JM...A sane and intuitive assessment of the Habs and JM.

The idea that the Habs didn't show up in Atlanta, however, doesn't seem right. The Thrashers have a new and very good coach, four ex Hawks and without Kovalchuk seem to have come together as a team. They shutout the Caps and clobbered the Wings so the idea that if the Habs brought their "A" game they should have won just doesn't hold water. The Habs didn't play all that badly, they just got beat by a good team and that happens in every sport.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
