I've been able to separate my brain and heart with previous playoff runs because I knew the Habs lacked the talent, character and drive to do anything serious.

This group has changed that. Once they pulled off the win in game 6 vs Washington, and Halak put on that miraculous performance, I was all in. To fall short now would be devastating.

To fall short now, would remind me a lot of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlzVDDSfeeAKyle Rousselhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16706378133759064138noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-85946819439588579632010-05-12T04:15:08.942-11:002010-05-12T04:15:08.942-11:00All wonderful points, JT.

Forget about it - this playoff run will live on for a while in Habs lore, even if they lose tonight. That's all that matters. They have to make the finals for the media to give them their due. It's just the nature of the beast.
I feel much different today than before the Washington series' game 7 - more confident, because this team has really 'found themselves'. ALL of the pressure is squarely on the Pens and Sir Sid. May they suffocate in it tonight.
Go Habs Go!NorCalVolnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-8998107603084589072010-05-12T03:56:13.948-11:002010-05-12T03:56:13.948-11:00Okay, now that I have time to read your post in it...Okay, now that I have time to read your post in it's entirety.

Lapierre: no, he's no superstar and played crappy all year, but I think he deserved the 'history will be made' clip. It's possible that the Habs were up at bat for another clip and they needed to chose a player. Laps was the right choice because without his goal, his very good goal, we would have been tied up at 3-3. Then what? OT? Then what? Besides, the message at the end says something about a homeboy, which is nice...personally, I liked it a lot.

I'm not so sure we and the media will forget about these playoffs for a long time. Beating the Caps, bringing the Pens to 7. Come on, history was made.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-67940738708080785152010-05-12T03:51:37.712-11:002010-05-12T03:51:37.712-11:00The Habs are enjoying the run and it has a feeling...The Habs are enjoying the run and it has a feeling of destiny to it. I think the Penguins wiil choke tonight and the Montreal Canadiens wiil close the Mellon Arena like they opened it with a 2-1 win.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3435571560723564995.post-34480604762082898242010-05-12T02:41:40.773-11:002010-05-12T02:41:40.773-11:00The press always forgets. All that matters is that the past month has been dynamite and being a Habs fan has been as fun as it should be.
