Sens vs. Habs - Deja Vu Edition

Notes on the first:

-Watching Price during the anthem, I wonder what goes through his mind at that time.

-Good on Martin for breaking up Gionta and Gomez. Something had to give, and maybe Pleks can get the captain moving. Gionta's like a beer in the freezer. Sooner or later, it's gonna bust Onopen.

-Lapierre is as effective as a neutered dog at a breeding farm.

-Is it just me, or is Price ducking when the puck comes at him high?

-The PP is so bad, it's soon going to be the benchmark for other bad things. "How's the weather there today?" "Oh, man, it's as bad as the Habs' PP."

-Martin looks like he wants to choke Cammalleri and chop the body into tiny bits.

-One of the great modern mysteries of sport: How Scott Gomez once scored 33 goals in a season.

-Gionta's going to have to get Price to sacrifice his cursed stick. It worked for Gorges two years ago.

-Not a bad period, but the Habs are as lucky as the White Star Line in 1912.

"A Day late and dollar short" seemed to be the general feeling about tonight's game. The Sens did a decent job at slowing our advance through the neutral zone. Both goalies had a major impact on the game.

Really would have liked to get at least a point out of that one. We made them look much better then they are.

Kovalev seemed to enjoy himself tonight....that would be the "salt".

It was nice to see Kovalev doing his thing again. That tip was artistry.

Price ducks because the angle has the puck safely passing the net if it doesn't deflect in off his mask assembly. It is a learned reflex not instinctive. Bad things happen if there is something there for the puck to hit going past the net or bouncing back off the glass.

Drives me nuts that this team can't score. They are averaging less than two a game. Find a bona fide goal scorer already!

I don't know what's more pathetic, losing to the Ottawa on home ice or Clouston saying he was going to use the Habs as a measuring stick for his team.

Don't blame you for stopping notes after the first period. Seeing the senators out skate the Habs was a disgusting sight. The rest of the game was more of the same. Time to face the fact that the Habs are not very good and will struggle to make the last playoff spot. Imagine what Vancouver and Luongo will do to the Habs on Tuesday. I shudder to think of it. And then the Bruins in Boston. Oh well, at least the Boston game is on the road so the Habs have a chance I guess.

If Price has had a chance to watch the Blues play I bet he wishes he was traded to St. Louis. I know I would.
