Housekeeping

Hi all...

Just a quick note. Period-by-period notes will probably end soon. It's taking some time to write them and they don't seem to be terribly interesting for the readers. It's one of those experiments that haven't worked all that well. Time to move on to something new, probably! For those of you who read them, thanks!

That's too bad. I found them highly entertaining, especially during a losing cause. Can't wait for whatever may be next...

Those post-period notes were amazing. Win or lose I would always check in for a great laugh. Thanks for doing them while you could!

I have read them. Thanks.

Well that sucks.

I mean, you wrote some better pieces, but they were the most fun.

Hope you change your mind.

A post game summary would be more along the lines of what I'm looking for. In any event, I enjoy your posts and I'm happy to check in daily.

No-Please don't stop. I really enjoyed your period by period summaries.A lot of the things you say-we just were thinking and it so funny to read them.
If more people were aware of your blog there would be a better following.
Didn't you comment on HIO to start with ? what happened there ?

@Harry: I didn't like the idea of secret moderators on HIO. If they're going to censor comments, I thought they should have just been up front about who the censors are and the criteria for deleting posts.

Thanks for your kind words, though. :)

A few of my favourite lines:

"Gill's now inherited my Most Hated Hab title. It's been vacant since David Aebischer."

"Mcguire's left off blowing Komisarek long enough to blow Kane. Once you go black, Pierre..."

"Speaking of them, Bergeron and Gill should not, under any circumstances, be on the ice together. It's like putting Breezer and a Tim Horton's pee wee out there."

"Watching TSN tonight, despite Mcguire. Speaking of which: Mcguire's first Homoerotic Comment of the Game (HCOG) so far is 'Cammalleri in the neutral zone, not hard enough'"

I'm sorry to hear that you're not going to continue with the between period reviews. I'm never at home and don't have access to watch the game, so I'm always checking in for recaps and love reading your point of view. I usually do it on my phone so it's hard to comment and rarely do.

But I do understand not having the time. I hope you'll decide to do something else. Your site is the 2nd site I check everyone morning after I hit the snooze button and before I even put on my glasses.

I have read them. Thanks. That's too bad.

Althought I would only get to read your summaries later in the night or on the following mornings I found them to be well worth the read nonetheless...... to revisit games I had watched through your period by period summaries was a short and sweet affairs all on its own but above and beyong it was also a place where some of your most hilarious comments where to be found..... and of course that kept me coming back for more.

It did seems like alot of work though..... I always wondered... how can she enjoy the game and write at the same time ? I certainly couldn't.... most men cant do two different things very well when done at the same time.... shure they can eat ships, drink beer and talk non-sens all in the same while as they are watching their hockey but.... creative clever writing wouldn't be one of them.

Enjoy the brake if you take one and thanks for the writting.

Aw, that reallt sucks. They were usually much more interesting and to the point than the comments we hear on TV or read from journalists. It was fun to read them.

Somehow hope you'll change your mind. But thanks for them and for that really awesome blog of yours. :)

read them every night. just because people don't comment so much, it doesn't mean they're not being read. how are your site-view stats?

Not interesting for the readers? Are you kidding me?!!! It's one of the reasons why we keep coming back and cheering on the team that frankly, hasn't had much to cheer about since the glory days.
You should get a commision from Les Canadiens. You're that good!
Thanks for all the time you put into these comments and all laughs. Looking forward to what's next.

They were always one of my favorite parts of the game blogs back on HI/O ... I was overjoyed to see you continue the period summaries here and always checked between periods to see if you were posting. I'm sure I'm just one of many that read your site but have not signed up. If you do continue this format just know that you're humour and insight are appreciated.

I love your blog and read every word on my daily check in. Keep up the great work and I'm sure it'll continue to as top notch as ever no matter which direction you decide to take.

I really liked the idea and your writing, but as long as you keep bringing the funny, I'll survive.

"and they don't seem to be terribly interesting for the readers" COMPLETELY FALSE !

I love reading your "period-to-period posts" specially when the HABS are loosing, it is like a consolation prize, at least we don't loose everything! Your humour is so enjoyable. Please don't give up !

Agree with all of the above.

This blog is way better reading than all the conventional emptiness we can find in newspapers or any other website.

And those period-by-period summaries were pure joy. It's like non-stop punchlines.

Great blog that I only discovered this year, but now read every single day.

Thank you for that!

I can't wait for the Habs to finish the first period so that I can click over to your site and have a good chuckle...and get a clue about the second period because you inadvertently manage to make one comment that will come true before the game is complete.

It's not possible to respond after each of your wonderful summaries. After all, how can words express the smile and the brief shout of laughter after a vintage JT one-liner?
